A 61 year-old man. His early complaint was clumsiness in the legs. This complaint increased gradually, being accompanied by sensory disturbances of the lower extremities. He gradually became incapable of walking and standing.
On X-ray findings, ossification of the posterior longitudinal ligament were observed in the 6th and 7th thoracic spine. Laminectomy was pursued and the disturbance of walking and sensibility have satisfactorily diminished at post-ope. 12 weeks.
