Abstract
We evaluated an Immunosuppressive acidic protein (IAP) in 240 cases of a disease of bone and joint. The IAP positive rate of a primary malignant tumor of bone was 60% and the mean was 591μg/ml. This rate of metastatic bone tumor was 67% and the mean was 578μg/ml. This rate of a benign tumor of bone was 10% and the mean was 382μg/ml. IAP may represent a tumor marker in malignant tumors of bone like carcinoma in other organ. The IAP positive rate of RA was 80% and the mean was 704μg/ml. All of the cases of gout had abnormal high value of IAP on attack. All of the cases of OA had normal value.
