Abstract
We reported a case of lung cancer with multiple metastases to the right vastus medialis, inguinal lymph nodes and brain.
A39-year-old man visited our clinic on the 9th of July, 1988, because of painful and tender mass localized in the vastus medialis muscle accompanied with painful swelling of inguinal lymph nodes and bloody sputum. Clinicopathological analysis from imaging techniques and pathological examinations for these lesions revealed multiple metastases in the vastus medialis and inguinal lymph nodes from poorly differentiated adenocarcinoma of the left upper pulmonary lobe. Three weeks after resection of primary tumor, while he was under chemotherapy (CDDP 140mg, VDS 3mg and MMC 6mg), brain metastasis was detected with CT. After that, he returned to his home on the 22nd of September this year and died of tumor 4months after surgery.
