Abstract
Ten patients with the soft tissue sarcomas were analyzed with respect to the correlation between the local control and the surgical margin by the JOA Musculo-skeletal Tumor Commitee. Although seven patients were operated on with the wide surgical margin and three with the curative margin, with regard of transverse section eight tumors were removed with a surrounding cuff of normal tissue beyond the fascial septa. All ten patients had no local recurrence during the follow-up period ranging from one year to 6 years and 7 months, and eight were alive with no evidence of disease.
