Abstract
Multiple myeloma is considered as the disease of the very careful diagnosis needed on the patients who complain of the very similar symptoms of osteoporosis the acute or chronic low back pain and easily broken bone by the slight stress. The general clinical features of multiple myelolma are as follows: remarkably diffuse bone atrophy and punched-out lesions in patients with the middle and advanced age, the increase of erythrocyte sedimentation rate, hyper protenemia, proteinuria, hyper γ-globulinemia, and M-protein in protein fraction, which is comparatively easily diagnosed. While multiple myeloma with Bence-Jones κ type which we experienced this time shows the different feature from the above menetiond because the myeloma cell only produces the low molecular Bence-Jones protein, and the feature is as follows: nomal erythrocyte sedimentation rate, the decrease of serum protein, negative proteinuria, lower γ-globulinemia, and negative M-protein. Therefore, multiple myeloma with Bence-Jones κ type is easily overlooked and misunderstood as the unknowu origin of osteoporosis and metastatic tumor.
