Abstract
Two cases of pubic osteolysis are reported.
Case 1: A female aged 74 years sufferd from right coxalgia. Plain radiographs revealed an osteolytic lesion in the right pubic bone and bone scan demonstrated high uptake in the same region. An open biopsy was performed and pathological findings were consistent with pubic osteolysis.
Case 2: A female aged 71 years sufferd from right groin pain after trauma for 2 months. Plain radiographs revealed an osteolytic and sclerotic lesion in the right pubic bone. An open biopsy was performed and pathological findings were consistent with pubic osteolysis.
The initial complaints of pain of the pelvis gradually subsided with conservative treatment.
