Abstract

Massive MIMO (Multiple Input Multiple Output) requires appropriate beam management to prevent misalignment, which leads to significant array gain degradation. In this paper, we propose a method to apply Laser Chaos Decision Maker to beam alignment in order to achieve fast beam management, especially when the communication channel environment changes rapidly. In addition, we proposed a method to speed up the decision-making process by dividing a two-dimensional beam into two components for beam selection. Simulation results show that the proposed method provides higher average channel capacity than other beam selection methods in an environment where users move at high speed.
