Abstract
Based upon the "Value Constellation Model," the crucial question in this paper is that, what kind of core competence would a firm need to offer useful products and services to customers? Flexible interpretation of the senses of information, technology, products and services should be done within an information creation process based upon the customers' needs. Core competence, required to be able to realize the customers' values, can be acquired through an integration of the three elements' contextualization mechanisms with a value creation process. A framework for such integration is therefore designed and analyzed with a case study.
