In spite of its importance, however, there are no clear strategies in the policy for the widespread use of electronic money. The purpose of this paper is to suggest possible diffusion strategies for electronic money. The first is to categorize electronic money from the viewpoint of its exchange properties. Then, to classify electronic money competition into intra-category and between-category types, clarify their diffusion properties, and examine the development direction of electronic money. Finally, the study suggests investment strategies for electronic money diffusion.
