Abstract
The member of the Osaka actors guild was 446 people in 1892. Among them, the well-known actor was only about 10%,Many actors are forgotten now. In this paper, I mention three actors, Nakamura Nakanosuke, Nakamura Fukuen and Iwai Kotojo, I analyzed the play that was favored by the public in Osaka. Nakamura Nakanosuke who appeared in the Matsushima Yachiyoza Theater played the exaggerated play that he wore by provincial tours. Nakamura Fukuen who appeared in Tokyo in addition to Osaka was good at keren (eccentric performance) such as quick change and midair stunt. Iwai Kotojo who appeared Sennichimae districts performed the dance using the electricity that was the entertainment of the movie. Some people thought that their plays had low class, but it is a fact that many public favored them. When we think about the taste of the audience in Osaka, it is necessary to analyze it about plays such as the above.
