Abstract
A clinical study was made on 88 maxillary antrums of 45 cases with respect to the findings of mucous membrane functional test (refered to as “ M. F. T.” hereafter) before and immediately after the irrigation of the antrum, and the following conclusions were obtained.
1) It should be avoided to examine M.F.T. of the case immediately after irrigation, because the process was seemed to affect considerably the correctness of the judgement of type in radio grams.
2) Irrespective of the drug used for irrigation, the more pathological the ciliary function of the antrummucosa was, the less affected the results of M. F. T. were, and vice versa.
