We report a case of a pediatric bronchial foreign body repeatedly treated as bronchial asthma or croup. A one-year-old boy seen for wheezing was initially treated for bronchial asthma or croup, but to no avail. Laryngeal fiberscopy showed a foreign body and granulomatous tissue under the glottis in the tracheobronchial tree, necessitating removal by ventilation bronchoscopy under general anesthesia. Our case illustrated the importance of considering aspiration of a foreign body in diagnosing persistent wheezing.
