Abstract
The interference of damped oscillation of stimulus sound for stimulated oto-acoustic emission (OAE) was investigated in 100 normal hearing ears with type A tympanogram. The increase of the working value (β) of attenuation constant tended to relate with the decrease of the physical volume of external ear canal in impedance audiometry and the area of middle ear pneumatic space measured from the X-ray photograph. The OAE pseudothreshold Lowered according as the value of β increased. Effective damping of stimulus sound may induce arising of S/N ratio, which makes distinct the wave form of OAE.
