Abstract
We made an examination on tympanometry patterns got by experiments using an ear drum model, with Onchi's fomula, Z = R + j (Mω - S/ω).
We put an adaptation membrane on whole surface of drum as experiment 1 and on a part of drum as experiment 2. In experiment 1, A type was changed to As type because of the increase of Impedance: Z by increasing inertia: Mω, resistance: R and strength: S. In experiment 2, A type was changed to M type through Ad type by increasing Z finally after the process that Z decreased because of the increase of Mω and slight change of R and S, and then, increased Mω to made Z equals to R.
[CONCLUSION] Mass and hypertrophy of the ear drum influenced Tympanometry pattern.
