Interconnect simulation

Abstract

Computational electromagnetic analysis and circuit analysis of VLSI (Very Large-Scale Integrated circuit) interconnect are briefly reviewed. First, electromagnetic models of on-chip interconnects are summarized. Then, high-frequency effects, such as skin effect, proximity effect and substrate effect, are explained with simulation examples.
