Abstract

Application of atmospheric pressure discharge plasma technologies for environmental protection was reviewed historically and new research on this topic is described. Plasma has a very high chemical reactivity compared with typical chemical reactions. High-energy electrons can realize the chemical reaction effectively. The possibility of application of discharge plasma technologies in regard to environmental protection is discussed.
