Crystal growth of nonpolar group III nitride semiconductors and their device applications

Abstract

The nonpolar and semipolar nitride semiconductors are the potential candidates for realization of new frontier devices with much better performance than their c-oriented counterparts. We explain why nonpolar nitride semiconductors are considered to possess enormous potential. In addition, we report on the crystal growth, conductivity control and device applications of nonpolar nitride semiconductors.
