Applied physics examined through cameras

Abstract

The production of digital cameras, which started in 1985, surpassed the production of conventional film cameras in number in 2000. Now, the word “camera” usually referes to a digital camera. The digital camera is introduced, the particular technology currently used in it is explained, and the relation with applied physics is discussed for each item.
