By considering the evolution of scientific education and discussing developments in applied physics, the author describes the development of computer-aided physics and experimental physics education intended for students entering Kyushu Institute of Technology. Physics education using computers, including stand-alone personal computers and network systems, as well as e-learning, are discussed. The author and co-workers are attempting to use and develop an e-learning education system to overcome the serious problems of modern university scientific education courses in Japan.
