In reversible computing, there is no minimum energy bound to implement a logic operation because the entropy is always conserved. However, no practical devices have demonstrated reversible computing yet. To realize reversible computing, we have been developing an adiabatic quantum-flux-parametron (AQFP), which is an adiabatic superconductor logic with an extremely high energy efficiency. In the present paper, we show recent progress towards reversible computing using AQFP, lastly showing that reversible computing is possible using logically and physically reversible AQFP circuits.
