The kinetics of chemical reactions between two species in solution can only be investigated by mixing two solutions. We employed the collision of liquid droplets for measurements of the chemical reactions by taking advantage of the time/space accuracy of the droplet. Note, the liquid droplet acts as an optical cavity with a high quality factor, where Raman scattering or fluorescence in the droplet is enhanced by a resonance. Here, we describe our studies on the collision dynamics of two solutions and reaction dynamics induced by the droplet collision investigated by cavity enhanced spectroscopy. The cavity enhancement mechanism is also discussed using the multiorder stimulated Raman scattering that emerged in the colliding droplets.
