Digital technology has permeated our society, and a wide variety of electronic devices are now in use. In particular, the development of electronic devices for measuring living organisms has been remarkable, and coupled with research and development in information and communication technology and artificial intelligence (AI), many social implementations have been observed. Our research group has been conducting research and development on flexible and stretchable electronics, which are highly flexible, soft like rubber, and lightweight, by highly integrating functional organic materials. Some of these products have been certified as medical devices, and new electronics are being developed for society. In this article, I would like to introduce the research and development of flexible and stretchable electronics, the nanoscience and technology that supports them, and the system for measuring biological action potentials that utilizes them.
