Superfluorescence is a cooperative emission arising from an ensemble of coherently coupled excited two-level systems. Recently, superfluorescence from solid-state systems, such as semiconductors, has been reported, attracting significant attention to its underlying generation mechanism. In this study, we investigate superfluorescence of biexcitons in semiconductor quantum dot assembly. We discuss the relationship between multiexciton dynamics in quantum dots and the coherence generation process, present observations of fluctuations in intensities and spectra of superfluorescent pulses, and outline of future challenges.
