Application of Design of Experiments to Optimization by Simulation Experiments

Abstract

CAE Engineers are often troubled with the lack of reproducibility of simulation results in actual experiments. In addition, efficient design of simulation experiments is required for further reduction of the R&D lead-time. In this report, the design of experiments is applied to the calibration of simulation model to the actual experiment, the screening of parameters and the robust optimization in the procurers of optimization by simulation experiments as a means to secure the reproducibility and the efficiency.
