Materials Processing Simulation for "Kototukuri"

Abstract

This document describes simulations for materials processing technologies from the viewpoint of "Kototukuri." Nowadays, various simulations of materials processing have been reported in research papers. However, it seems difficult to implement these simulations in the processes, especially material removal processes such as cutting, grinding, EDM and laser machining. Thus, what is needed to utilize such simulations for high quality and high efficiency machining is discussed here.
