Intra-Company Prediction Market and Its Potential Effects

Abstract

This paper presents a four-quadrant model of supporting managerial decisions through collective knowledge and intelligence. The model distinguishes four functional domains, namely, collective weighting, collective reasoning, collective idea evaluation and collective idea creation. A systematic framework built around an intra-company prediction market for utilizing each function is proposed and relevant issues to realize each framework and how to resolve them are discussed.
