IFIP is an international organization to promote R&D on information processing at a global level. IFIP consists of several technical committees (TCs), each of which carries out activities dedicating to specific area of information processing. Technical Committee on Entertainment Computing (TC14) was set up as the newest TC in IFIP in 2006. The major purpose of TC14 is to promote R&D in this new interdisciplinary area by organizing international workshops, by setting up working groups, etc. In this presentation, brief introduction to IFIP, the process of setting up of TC14 and the activities of TC14 will be addressed.
