The interactive retrieval of information and emotional designing were considered as the entertainment elements for online system, and were implemented in an e-Learning system which was based on Topic Maps. We developed an application of multi-choice drills for introductory dynamics equipped with relaxation mode and focus mode. The relaxation mode provided a positive feeling for learner using characters, and the focus mode of solving a drill provided tension in a short time period. Also, a course-centric e-Learning system for introductory physics was changed into content-centric system with an exploratory map portal that showed relations among subjects together with the individual learning records. Further, in order to let learners explore more actively, the system was extended to a wide range of the field of science, daily life, environmental issues etc. by the use of Topic Maps.
