Abstract

This paper first discusses how originators obtains innovative solution by utilizing their "submerged knowledge". In two cases I pointed that "knowledge" which was considered irrelevant at the very beginning of the ordinal way of thinking later had worked as the key factor and successfully help emerging innovative ideas. That "irrelevant" knowledge usually comes through "weak ties" and worked as the starter of analogical way of thinking. I also pointed a company established internal submerged system for innovation, which emphasized the importance of "irrelevant" information. Secondly I commented on "Innovation Game" proposed by Y.Osawa .I think this "Game" has certain significance to emerge new ideas, because, this game forces all participants disclose their knowledge, whether it looks relevant or irrelevant, and been involved into the innovation vending system.
