Abstract
“Tonarigumi”, “Chounaikai”, and “City Association” organizations have worked as a mechanism for distributing
services to local residents. Recently, the external environment is changing. In addition, there are areas where
these organizations have disappeared due to old town planning. In many cases, the community “shopping association
(shopping district)” has taken their place of them, however when the store is succeeded, they entrust an external
developer, and the town planning can be conducted without considering the lives of the local residents. Quantiative
research is conducted. From a sustainability viewpoint, we will consider the current situation and propose solutions.
