Research Methodologies from the Perspective of Critical Realism

Abstract

Information system is a social system in which technology and information interact with hu-man activities. In order to obtain useful knowledge about such a system, it is important to understand mech-anisms by which social phenomena occur. In the Critical Realism(CR), the real world is understood as a three-layer structure, and then mechanisms that cause the phenomenon is explored. In this research, we will consider the mechanism exploration by using CR.
