Introduction and utilization of RESAS and V-RESAS for visualization of local situation and behavior

Abstract

RESAS is a site that visualizes public-private big data created by the government with the aim of encouraging evidence-based policy making. V-RESAS is a private site for the purpose of utilizing data for understanding the impact of the new coronavirus infection on the local economy and examining regional measures. This paper introduces these efforts and their utilization, and touches on the importance and challenges of creating a data infrastructure, including the efforts necessary to handle various data.
