On the Estimation of Flood Risk Facing Attribute-based Population for Meso-Spatial Level and Some Characteristics

Abstract

The authors present an estimating method for risk-facing populations and numbers of households in terms of their attributes, and of the critical risk level at the meso-spatial level, utilizing open data. We show some empirical results for the possible maximum flooding area by the Mukogawa River, which runs through the urbanized area. We also declare some characteristics and understandings obtained from our empirical results.
