Management of Automotive Electric Control System Development to Improve Reliability and Safety

Abstract

Automobiles are indispensable to our daily lives, and at the same time, they have responded in a timely manner to social demands for environmental protection and prevention of traffic accidents. In recent years, electronic control has been playing an increasingly important role in improving convenience, environmental friendliness, and safety. This paper first outlines the role of electronic control in automobiles and its changes, and then introduces the evolution of efforts to improve the reliability and safety of electronic control systems in automobiles. Finally, system development using systems thinking, which is currently the focus of much attention, is introduced.
