Abstract
In Japan, where it is Super Aging Society, the role played by local communities is great importance. Therefore, this study constructed an egocentric network based on the results of a questionnaire survey and conducted an analysis using network theory and the falutline theory of organizational diversity research. As a result, it was found that degree centrality reduces loneliness, while eigenvector centrality increases loneliness. It was also found that the number of subgroups increases loneliness. In addition, it was found that the factors that affect loneliness differ depending on attributes such as age, gender, and whether or not people live together. In particular, it was found that men not only increase their own loneliness but also the loneliness of those around them.
