Abstract
During presurgical planning of orthogonathic surgery, clinicians predict a resultant facial profile which is much influential in facial esthetics. In this paper, a new prediction method using neo fuzzy neuron is proposed. Furthermore, some neo fuzzy neurons specified for some kinds of profiles are prepared. The facial profile before the surgery is classified, and the resultant profile after the surgery is predicted using the corresponding neo fuzzy neuron. The prediction results for 36 patients show the effective of the proposed prediction method.
