Abstract
In recent years, many digital archives projects are progressing for the recording of tangible and intangible cultural assets in the form of 2-D digital data. However, it goes without saying that the 3-D expression is more ideal than the 2-D expression. Therefore, if it becomes possible at a high speed to form a subject into 3-D digitized data, an ideal form preservation can be performed to prevent any degradation eternally. Furthermore, improvements in the performance of CPU and in the speed of memory access have realized easy operations of movement and rotation on a virtual space, therefore a viewpoint can be freely chosen now. This appreciation system is low in cost and has a simplified high speed data aquisition equipment of 3-D shape. The example of 3-D object shown on a virtual space by the system is reported.
