A Fundamental Study on Visibility of Background and Character Colors at the Web Browsing : Case of Chromatic Background Colors

Abstract

In this article, we described a paired comparison test of foreground (character) and background colors. The color sets were selected from chromatic colors (magenta-series and yellow-series) of the Web Safe Color, which is a de facto standard for the HTML color representation. We will apply the result of the test to automatic color correction of Web browsing for improving visibility and individual personal usability at the next step.
