Abstract
In this paper, we propose a novel tissue characterization method of a coronary plaque. In the proposed method, feature vectors are selected by considering the spatial continuities of tissues in both the feature and its observation spaces, and a tissue is then characterized by the feature vectors. In the experiment, the proposed method is applied to the tissue characterization problem of the intravascular ultrasound (IVUS) data, and its performance is evaluated by using ROC analysis.
