Abstract
It is well known that fuzzy numbers plays an important and fundamental role in fuzzy analysis. In this paper, we attempt to define the addition and scalar multiplication in fuzzy numbers using α-level set. We have first obtained some properties of interval numbers. From these properties we discuss some properties of fuzzy numbers.
