Abstract

To provide practice for venipuncture, a variety of objects are used as intravenous blood sampling practice models (henceforth, model). However, as has been pointed out, the feel of the model is different from the feel of the human body. Therefore, in this study we aimed to establish a simple evaluation method for such model. Using the measurement value obtained from the puncture apparatus used for three models, with a syringe-type three-axis force sensor, linear discriminant analysis was performed. From the results, it was possible to easily determine the characteristics of the model. In addition, compared to the single-axis method, the three axis method evaluation was more effective.
