Abstract
Idiopathic interstitial pneumonia (IIP) is one kind of designated diseases of Japan, because there is no way of treatment with western medicine. The attempt was made to adopt the acupuncture/moxibustion treatment for working out the IIP. The blood test shows the temporal decrease of sialylated carbohydrate antigen (KL-6), which is a serum marker to diagnose and monitor IIP. It implies that the activity of IIP is significantly reduced.
