Abstract
In free-radical multiallyl crosslinking polymerization accompanied by degradative monomer chain transfer characteristic of allyl polymerization, the structure of network polymer precursor (NPP) obtained just before gelation would become core-shell type dendritic or nanogel-like. The network polymer would consist of NPPs with high crosslink density; the resulting gel may be facile to be degradable through fragile crosslink units between nanogel-like NPPs. The present work deals with the microwave-irradiated degradation of gels consisting of NPPs with high crosslink density, considering the characteristics of network polymer as crosslinked system material consisting of NPP modules.
