Design of KEK-PS and Theories of Resonances and Collective Beam Instabilities

Abstract

Design works of the KEK-PS (Proton Synchrotron and Booster Complex) are outlined. Related works on betatron resonances and collective beam instabilities are sketched. The present paper is based on a talk at my retirement and emphasis is on my contributions.
