Damage on the KEK e^-/e⁺ Injector Linac by the Great East Japan Earthquake

Abstract

The Great East Japan Disaster has caused heavy damages on the KEK e⁺/e^- Injector Linac. After two month has passed, part of the Linac was recovered and the beam injection for the PF ring is under testing. This report describes the situation of damages and recovery efforts, some causes enlarging damages and the countermeasures, and the recovery plan for the remaining part of the Linac.
