Abstract
The local atomic structures of Ni and Co in LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 during the first charge and discharge were examined by in-situ XAFS measurement on Li//LiNi0.8Co0.2O2 coin cell at room temperature and 60°C. The XAFS analysis suggests that the change of Co-O interaction during charge and discharge at 60°C is associated with the degradation of the performance for battery.
