Abstract
Aerosol Deposition Method (AMD) is a process to coat various materials surfaces with over 10μm thickness ceramics. One of the most remarkable character of ADM is all processes are performed without heating. To make use of this character of ADM, coating of nickel-alumina composite layer by ADM was investigated. Nickel-alumina ratio was controlled by initial amount of nickel and milling time. By X-ray diffraction patterns and STEM-EDX, microstructure of the starting materials and the composite layer was observed. Nickel phase was distributed homogeneously in alimina phase. Moreover, we discussed the effect of nickel-alumina ratio on the mechanical and electrical properties of the composite layer.
