Abstract
Bismuth Layer-Structured Ferroelectric(abbreviated to “BLSF”) ceramics is one of the candidates of lead-free materials as alternate for PZT. Particulary, the electrical properties of BLSF ceramics have been improved by controlling the grain orientation, using the hot-forging method. Recently, well oriented BLSF ceramics has been obtained by use of the TGG or RTGG method. In above mentioned techniques, mono-dispersed, mono-domain, plate-like particles are required. In the current study, the authors attemted to synthesis mono-domain and plate-like BLSF particles(including Bi4Ti3O12 and CaBi4Ti4O15) by hydrothermal method, and fabricate the oriented ceramics. Dielectric and piezoelectric properties of the oriented ceramics will be reported.
