Abstract
The structure changes of the lithium manganese spinels were determined after the storage in organic solvent at 50 - 80oC and room temperature. The bulk structure change was confirmed by the Rietveld structure analysis using powder x-ray and neutron diffraction data. Manganese ion dissolves from the surface as well as from the bulk. The temperature of deterioration increases with increasing Li/Mn ratio, and the larger grain size of the spinel reduced the deterioration. The deterioration mechanism will be discussed on the bases of the structure viewpoint.
