Abstract
Abastract: Tetragonal bismuth titanate nanoparticles were prepared by hydrothermal synthesis, using Bi(NO3)3•5H2O,TiCl4 and KOH as raw material. By means of X-ray diffraction (XRD) and transmission electron microscopy (TEM), the crystal structure and morphology of Bi4Ti3O12 powders prepared under different hydrothermal conditions were studied in details. The influence factors of synthesis of Bi4Ti3O12 powders included the concentration of mineralizer KOH,the molar ratio of Bi/Ti,reaction temperature and time.as well as precursors. The XRD results revealed that the asprepared powders were a typical bismuth layered perovskite structure. The TEM photographs showed the hydrothermal powders with spherical and tabular morphologies appear low agglomeration and narrow particle size distribution. Key words: Bi4Ti3O12 nanoparticles; Hydrothermal synthesis
